CHRISTIAN SERVICE
It is expected that all students at NEBC find a weekly Christian service activity in which to be involved during the time of their enrollment at the College. One hour per week of service fulfills this requirement.
Forms will be provided to submit to the Academic Dean by the add/drop deadline as to the nature and place of the Christian service, and again at the end of the semester to evaluate the experience. New students are expected to fulfill the above requirements by their second registration.
The granting of a degree is contingent upon the satisfactory fulfillment of Christian service. Degree students need six semesters of Christian service to graduate, Associate Degree students need three semesters, and Bible Certificate students need one semester. Requirements for transfer students will be pro-rated.

GRADUATION
Graduation exercises are held each year at the end of the spring semester. All students are expected to be present at the ceremony. In the event that a graduating student is unable to be at the ceremony, they must formally petition the faculty for permission to receive his/her degree in absentia giving the reason for his/her inability to attend.
To cover the cost of graduation, including cap and gown rental, a graduation fee of $50 is assessed each graduate. Prospective graduates must have paid all debts to the College in order to participate in the commencement exercise. Neither a diploma nor a final transcript will be released for a student until his financial obligations to the College are met in full.
Students who plan to graduate must apply for inclusion in the commencement events no later than February 1 prior to the date of the commencement in which they are planning to graduate. Applications for graduation are available from the Registrar’s office and may be obtained and submitted for processing any time prior to the due date.
