LIBRARY

The library at New England Bible College is designed to support the curriculum and educational purposes of the College. This design requires a heavy concentration in biblical, theological, and ministerial studies. The additional library resources of the University of Southern Maine, Portland Public Library, and other area libraries are also accessible to our students.

Holdings
The library contains approximately 16,000 books, 100 cassette tapes and a variety of computer based resources including: High-Speed Internet access, Wireless Internet access, Printing and Photocopying, Libronix Scholar's Library, and the Open Office suite. The library currently subscribes to 31 periodicals.

Hours
The library is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. except on days when the administrative office is closed. When evening classes are in session the library will remain open until 8:00 P.M.

Other Libraries
For materials in subject areas not included in our specialized library, the Portland Public Library and University of Southern Maine (USM) Library provide ample resources close at hand.

NEBC students may obtain a library card from the Portland Public Library (with a current student identification card) free of charge that will entitle them to use the library's inter-library loan service, as well as check out books in the library's own collection.

Students may buy a guest card to check out books from the University of Southern Maine’s library for a nominal fee.
