Immanuel God is with us!
A devotional thought shared by one of our trustees:
Do we relegate our consideration of Immanuel to the Christmas season when in fact, it is something to treasure each and every day?
God is with us. Praise the Lord. In this our hope is founded.
Consider these verses found in both the Old and New Testaments. In the comments below, add other Scriptures that should be included with these. Where else do we see references to Immanuel, God with us?
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means “God with us”) (Matt 1:23)
Josh 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Is 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Matt 28:20: ...And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
