Application Dates

Application to study at NEBC/Grace Evangelical may be made no earlier than one year before the intended start date. The application deadline for all degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is August 1 for the Fall Semester, and December 15 for the Spring Semester. 

Acceptance Notification

Applicants will be notified in writing of the decision on their application after the Admissions Committee has reviewed the material.  Acceptance of any applicant currently enrolled in an academic institution is contingent upon successful completion of the applicant’s current semester in that institution.

Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

​Proof of the following must be included in admissions package:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • SAT, ACT, or GED and scores

  • Secondary school transcripts

  • Must demonstrate the ability to do college level work and be willing to abide by the College’s standards of conduct.

  • Indication of which program he/she desires to enter, including the wish to only take individual classes without enrolling in a certificate or degree program. 



Graduate Admissions Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Official transcript from their college

  • Demonstrate the ability to do graduate level work and be willing to abide by the Seminary’s standards of conduct.

  • Indication of which program he/she desires to enter including the wish to only take individual classes without enrolling in a degree program.

Application Process Checklist

  • Send your completed application form with the non-refundable application fee of $25.00, payable to “Grace Evangelical, Inc., 502 Odlin Rd., Bangor, ME 04401 c/o Registrar.  You can also send it electronically and pay the fees online by clicking the link in the drop down list under News, Media & Giving.

  • Complete the Student Essays

  • Degree and Certificate students: a minimum of two references, one of which must be from the applicant’s pastor, the other(s) from an employer, teacher, or mentor. All references must be from non-family members.

  • Non-degree seeking students need provide only the contact information of references.

  • Have written references mailed directly to NEBC/GES.

  • Applicants to undergraduate programs:

    • Have your high school send an official transcript directly to NEBC. A transcript request form is available.

    • GED graduates must have an official score report sent to NEBC.

    • Home schooled students must submit a transcript with courses names, grades and a cumulative G.P.A. NEBC may request further information as necessary.

    • Request your SAT scores be sent directly to NEBC. (The NEBC school code for SAT is 5727. NEBC requests all scores for review, but counts highest scores for admissions consideration. Applicants who have more than 15 transferable college credits may submit official college transcripts in lieu of SAT scores.)

  • Applicants to graduate programs:

    • Provide official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended, including community colleges and 4-year institutions.

  • Applicants may be asked to have an interview prior to admission.
