Fast Track Master's Degree

NEBCS now offers four Fast Track Master's Degree options.

These Fast Track Master's Degree options can save the student about a year of classes.

1. The 5 Year B.A./M.A.

The 5-Year B.A./M.A. program directs the student to a Bachelor of Arts major (120 credit hours) that will complement their desired Master’s degree (just 30 credit hours). Since students are being taught with graduate students, they already have experienced the same classes and professors, but at a different level of assignments, reading, testing, and grading. Core classes at the Master’s level will require reading the texts they were not required to read as an undergraduate and report on them formerly.

2. The 6-Year B.A./M.Div.

The 6-year B.A./M.Div. program directs the student to a Bachelor of Arts major (120 credit hours) that will complement the M.Div. degree (just 60 credit hours). Since students are being taught with graduate students, they already have experienced the same classes and professors, but at a different level of assignments, reading, testing and grading. Core classes at the Master’s level will require reading the texts they were not required to read as an undergraduate and report on them formerly. The M.Div. program will also require a 2-year minimum pastoral (or similar) internship.

3. The 1-Year/30 Credit M.A.

If a student has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from a similar institution to NEBCS in the areas of Bible, Theology, Ministry, Religious Education, Church History, or Biblical Counseling, they may complete a M.A. in as little as 30 credit hours. The prospective M.A. student must meet with the Academic Dean to confirm the necessary degree requirements.

4. The 2-Year/60 Credit M.Div.

If a student has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from a similar institution to NEBCS in the areas of Bible, Theology, Ministry, Religious Education, Church History, or Biblical Counseling, they may complete a M.Div. in as little as 60 credit hours. The prospective M.Div. student must meet with the Academic Dean to confirm the necessary degree requirements.
