Dr. James
HADDIX
Dr. James Haddix completed his Ph.D. in Old Testament from Boston University School of Theology and embarked on over four decades of pastoral ministry, serving as a parish minister from 1969-2016.
As both pastor and author, Dr. Haddix has dedicated more than 30 years to theological education as a professor, bridging the essential connection between academic scholarship and pastoral practice. He convened and moderated the Greater Bangor Pastor Theologian Program, which fostered dialogue between scholars and practicing ministers to mutual benefit. Dr. Haddix holds the deep conviction that theological scholarship should be accessible and relevant to local church communities, viewing pastors as "front line" theologians who translate academic insights into lived faith.
