COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Introduction to Theology

TH-101
3 Credit hours

Explore the science of God. This course demystifies theology by focusing on organizing and systematizing biblical teachings. We will cover topics such as God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, sin, salvation, sanctification, predestination, free will, and the last days.

Biblical Theology

BI-320
3 Credit hours

This course introduces students to the methodology of biblical theology and explores various themes of biblical theology as they unfold across the metanarrative of both Testaments. In particular, the course will highlight the unity and diversity of Scripture. Passages will be viewed within their native context (diversity) and then will be explored for their contribution to the big story of God’s revelation (unity). It will consider themes such as covenant, redemption, soteriology, and the advance of God’s Kingdom, and how such themes give shape to Christian life and ministry.

Church History Survey

HI-101
3 Credit hours

This course examines the rapid growth of the early Church, key turning points and developments in the Christian community over the centuries, with a particular focus on the Reformation. Current trends and movements in the contemporary Church may be considered briefly.

Biblical Interpretation

BI-100

3 Credit hours

This course examines the fundamental principles, practices and tools of biblical interpretation and exegesis. It will introduce hermeneutical strategies and methods will be taught towards gaining competent and faithful proficiency in delivering the biblical author’s intended message for a contemporary audience.

Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following for admission:

  • Admissions application​.

  • Non-refundable application fee of $25.00

  • One pastoral reference. All references must be from non-family members.

  • Applicants must submit high school or college transcripts and/or test scores.

  • Applicants may be invited to interview prior to admission.
